Accountability and Prayer Thursday mornings at 6:00 a.m. (Bright and early in the summer months; dark and early through the winter), men of all ages are invited to get themselves to the church at the "godly hour" of 6:00 a.m. to pray with and encourage other men who are serious about developing the personal disciplines of a mature Christian life (Bible reading, personal prayer, family prayer, Scripture memorization, etc.) These days we meet to read something worthwhile, usually by John Piper, to pray for West London, the city of London, our missionaries and one another --- and to maintain accountability in regard to the disciplines we intend to maintain. Annual Men's Retreat Once a year a date is set for men from the church family (and a few of their friends) to spend a weekend considering a specific theme related to the challenges of being a godly man, to get to know one another better and to have some fun. |
