Jonathan was born into a loving, Jesus-following family, followed by his brother Tim and sister Anna. While he was a baby, his parents moved to Eastern Europe, where they served as missionaries. After several years, they moved to London, Ontario and began attending West London Alliance Church.
Jonathan became a follower of Jesus as a child and began to learn the Bible. In high school, he felt a weight of guilt because of his short-comings compared to God’s perfect standard. He was then reminded of God’s forgiveness made possible only by Jesus’ death and resurrection and was baptized on his 16th birthday.
He began his ministry training at Heritage College and Seminary. After a couple of years, he transferred to Moody Bible Institute and graduated with a degree in pastoral ministry. During his studies, he met a lovely young American named Amy. Jonathan and Amy were married in the summer of 2019 and moved to London, Ontario to start their family.
After returning from college, Jonathan worked as a labourer in the construction industry and volunteered with West London Alliance Church’s high school ministry. In December of 2019, he began serving the youth ministry as a full-time staff member.
Jonathan loves playing board and card games, making music, and studying maps.
