So I think I’m expanding “beyond library resources”, 😊 but pour a cup of coffee and have a read through of some things I think you will like.
Here is Zach Williams again as he co-authors a 3 day Easter reading plan. Definitely click to listen to his powerful single Empty Grave and see if you enjoy the very last note as much as I do!
"In preparation for the upcoming Easter celebration, I am releasing a three-day reading plan inspired by my song "Empty Grave." I am honored to have been able to partner on this with my good friend Ted Barrett, a minister and an umpire for Major League Baseball.
"Join me in reading it as we prepare for Easter, to be reminded of what the empty grave truly means." - Zach

Do you have music lessons that you have discontinued because of social distancing? Or maybe you’ve always wanted to take lessons and haven’t started. Many music teachers are now offering lessons via video call. It’s a great idea to be able to use your time effectively and have something to focus on. My son has had two of his lessons so far and it has been so good for him to have that to look forward to as well as incorporate into his daily routine. Something worth considering. (If you'd like a teacher recommendation, please reach out to me.)
With things warming up lately, have you thought of gardening? You can pour over some beautiful books, or online images, or venture into growing some of your own groceries! What a great way to increase your food security, cut some costs, and enjoy the thrill of observing God's design for plant growth. It’s not too late to start tomato and pepper seedlings indoors to be ready for when things really warm up the end of May. Even next week, young and old alike can put some cold loving seeds right in the ground, like spinach, kale, peas and radishes. If you haven’t bought seeds yet, organic growers like Hawthorn seeds can be ordered online or stores like Quartermaster Health Food Store and Healthy Planet offer heirloom seeds for sale. Need help with planting your seeds, Urban Harvest Landscapes, does garden coaching, planting and has organic seedlings for sale (and he's local and Christian!). You will get to have fun and eat!
Today, we've also featured a library book review by Mary Stanley. You can check it out here. If you have a book you would like to review, please get in touch with me by email (thekoiters@rogers.com)!
