The Women's ESL (English as a Second Language) ministry at WLA serves to reach out to women who are new to Canada and are looking to improve their English conversational skills.  It is a privilege to help them begin to feel more at home here in London and it is so enriching to build friendships with women from all "corners" of the planet.  We usually have at least a dozen nationalities represented!

Prior to COVID-19, we put together this video to showcase what happens at Women's ESL at WLA. Even though the ministry looks a bit different now, we pray that this video would be an encouragement to the church.

Women's ESL conversation groups will meet Friday mornings at 10 AM. Usually we love to meet in person, however, this fall session, we'll gather in small groups using Zoom. Contact Kathleen Magwood at esl.wla@gmail.com to learn more.

1.  for a smooth start to our fall session on Sept 25!  Pray that new participants will feel at home quickly even through Zoom. 

2.  for our much-appreciated leader team!  Pray for energy and creativity and good connections with the women in each group.

3.  for opportunities to share our love for Christ with these friends and the hope we have in knowing Him

4.  that many women will respond to the invitation to read the Bible together after class each week
