Mike and Nikki are going to Senegal, West Africa to serve with our denomination (The Christian and Missionary Alliance) as Alliance International Worker Apprentices. They plan to leave in January 2021.  

• We are looking at ways to continue support raising with the necessary social distancing precautions. This will likely involve connecting with people over the phone or video calls rather than face to face. Please pray as we set up meetings that we will be able to meaningfully connect with people in these ways, and that we will be able to communicate our vision and needs well.
• Please pray for the team in Senegal, who are sheltering in place during this time. In some ways their situation is very similar to ours in Canada (no gatherings and limited ability to leave their homes), but in other ways it is much more perilous (significantly less-equipped health care system, and limited travel options should sickness arise). Pray that they would be encouraged and strengthened, and that they would know how to connect with those they minister to during this time.
• Please pray that our actions and attitudes would be a strong testament to God’s power and goodness throughout this pandemic. As we pray for God to act swiftly and bring healing and restoration for the sake of His great name, we also look for ways to glorify Him in the midst of everything.
• Please pray for our family as we adjust to having two little ones; that we would parent with patience and grace during this time of less sleep and reduced family support.
